I was a kid in the 1950’s and 60’s in a small country town in NSW. I lived in a pub and the town was surrounded by dairy and chook and market gardens. Everyone knew everyone else. I don’t work anymore but when I did, I started out as a nurse then became a lecturer at uni. I eventually started my own consultancy business in competency based training and education which I ran successfully for nearly twenty years. Now I volunteer as a teacher of Primary Ethics at the local primary school. I also spend a lot of time getting and keeping fit with long bushwalks at least once a week and swimming three times a week. I don’t think I had many mentor’s when I was growing up, but as a young adult I looked to some of my lecturers to guide me. When I became self employed I pretty much found my own way testing out ideas with my partner and friends.
