I grew up in a working class family in the United Kingdom. I left home at 17 and since then have fended for myself. I migrated to Sydney, Australia with a friend when I was 19 in 1967.
After my mother died when I was 21 I went and got my younger sisters aged 7 and 10 who came to live with me. I am lucky all my family are accepting of my sexuality and I have a younger gay cousin and a lesbian niece. I did all my post year 11 education in Australia. I have had many jobs like cleaner, barmaid, shop assistant etc. I trained as a nurse and then as a teacher. I am now retired but do a bit of casual work.
Hobbies: I go to the gym 3-4 times a week, I am a regular bushwalker. I cycle both day rides and tours. I go kayaking regularly. I love reading and have been in a book group for 17 years. I enjoy going to the movies, theatre, ballet, bush dances, parties, and dinner with friends. I told you I was really 35. I am active in the LGBTI movement. I am looking forward to contact with younger people.
