Get Involved Information Evening
StartOut role models are trained mentors who are available online to young people of diverse sexuality and gender (DSG) who are struggling and need someone to talk to.
If you’re a compassionate person with access to a mobile device and an internet connection, you could be the role model a young Australian is looking for. You’ll help them to understand that what they’re experiencing is normal and that someone really does care.
Life doesn’t have to feel lonely
Growing up as a DSG person can be very lonely. StartOut are trying to reach young DSG people right around Australia who feel isolated.
We know that having strong role models and a sense of community can help to reduce depression, anxiety and ultimately suicide. You can make a huge difference by sharing your story and being a reassuring presence in someone’s life.
It’s time to get SO/Informed
Just a little bit of your time could go a really long way. Come along to find out exactly what StartOut is doing and how you can get involved.
