Wow have we been busy! It’s nearly been a year since our official app launch in Melbourne and Sydney last year, so we thought it was high time for an update. For those following the StartOut social channels you’ll know we’ve been on the road a lot this year and we’re excited to say we’ve now taken StartOut to Queensland (including Far North Queensland), after having a presence at both Brisbane and Cairns pride events in the last month and we’ve already started receiving mentor requests from both locations.

2018 also saw StartOut get involved at Newcastle Pride and Cairns Tropical Pride, the Broken Heel festival and the community markets in Broken Hill thanks to Australian Unity and their local staff, and tomorrow night we’ll be at the Central West Pride Drag Bingo tomorrow night in Dubbo – tickets still available on the door! Check out a small selection of photos from these events below.

In between these events we’ve been receiving on average one new request for a mentor every two weeks and we currently have over 20 mentor matches live in the app. We’re also underway with a revamp of our mentoring application and will have some new features coming out over the next few months. If you’d like any information on our plans or programs please get in touch at hello@startout.org.au.
